The Deaconess Pre-Surgical Briefing was designed in the winter of 2016 as we made a commitment to Patient Safety and began to introduce the concepts of TeamSTEPPS.  Nearly all items on the Deaconess TeamSTEPPS pre-surgical Briefing correspond to items listed in the 2015 World Health Organization Pre-surgical briefing guide. The few added items correspond to adverse events that have occurred at our facility.

As we move forward in our implementation your opinion is important to us, we would like to have your input as we consider revisions to the tool.
